Set up a classroom, assign suitable lessons, and help learners improve through feedback.
For school teachers using an institution-approved teacher account. Teachers who also lead managed workshops can use the shared Facilitator guide with their workshop staff access.
What you will learn
Create a classroom and prepare learner sign-in
Preview and assign work for a class or individual learner
Review progress, request a revision, and save the final review
01
Run a team workshop on shared laptops
Teachers with separate workshop staff access can use Group Mode for managed workshops. Your school classroom account and its individual assignments keep their own access rules.
1Use the managed-workshop team workflow
Open Group Mode with authorized workshop staff access. Choose the workshop and session, review teams or reuse a Group Set, and check readiness before opening. Each child checks in with their own workshop details on the shared laptop.
Use the Facilitator guide for team assignment, Groups and Children views, device recovery, group feedback and workshop export. Team work is counted once; school-account lesson submissions are a separate workflow.
Open Teacher sign-in. Enter Teacher email and Password, then choose Sign in as teacher. Your teacher dashboard opens after successful sign-in.
If you are new, follow the registration and institution activation steps provided to you. Your institution administrator manages invitation, required training and approval.
On the dashboard, use the links for Classrooms, Progress, Submissions, Workshop Parts, Profile and Lesson library and previews.

If you get stuck
Your account is waiting for activation or approval
Finish the instructions shown on your activation page and ask your institution administrator to check training and approval. Creating an account does not grant classroom authority by itself.
Your session expired
Return through Teacher sign-in. Reopen the dashboard and check the saved state before repeating your last action.
Teachers with workshop staff access can prepare a kit from the supplies they have. A premade kit is not required.
1Save a reusable plan, then prepare this workshop
Open Kit Studio with your workshop staff account. Add reviewed hardware, ordinary tools and materials, and custom local supplies. Record quantities, preparation and supervision notes, then save the reusable kit.
In Workshop access, choose the group and Plan workshop kit. Use a saved kit or build a workshop copy. Editing that copy affects this workshop; editing the reusable template affects future uses. A session keeps the material record frozen when it was first opened.
Use Browse compatible curriculum → Plan mission materials to check required quantities, optional supplies and choose-one alternatives. Record missing available items from the card, or choose a mission you can supply. Check again before each class in a repeated program.
1Create a learner and share sign-in details privately
In Create a learner account, choose Classroom and enter Display name, Username and One-time PIN. Choose Create learner.
Wait for the learner-ready receipt. The PIN is not stored or shown again in the dashboard. Share the class code, username and PIN privately with the learner.
Learners open Student sign-in, enter Class code, Username and PIN, then choose Start learning.
Enlarge screenshot:The classroom account flow uses class code, username and PIN.
2Reset one learner’s PIN when needed
In Reset a learner PIN, choose the intended Learner. Enter New 6–12 digit PIN and choose Reset learner PIN.
Wait for the receipt and share the new PIN privately. The previous PIN no longer works.
Enlarge screenshot:Reset only the intended learner’s PIN.
Open Lesson library and previews from the dashboard. Use Search, STEAM path, Challenge and Hardware, then choose Apply filters.
Open Preview … as a student for the lesson you want. Read the activity, materials and Safety check. Record the Lesson ID so you can assign the same lesson.
Start with the learner’s problem and intended user. Choose tools that help solve that problem and that you can safely supply.
Enlarge screenshot:Preview lets you check the learning activity before assigning it.
2Check saved Workshop Parts
Return to Workshop Parts on the dashboard and inspect each classroom’s saved parts. An empty Parts Set is not a complete kit.
If you also run managed workshops, use the shared facilitator steps to select parts and inspect Ready with my parts. Open workshop staff tools requires the separate authorized workshop session.
Enlarge screenshot:Use the inventory returned for the classroom; never assume sample kit contents.
In Assign a lesson, choose Classroom. Leave Learner (optional) at the class-wide choice or select a learner.
Choose a lesson from the library, then choose Assign this lesson on its card to return with the Lesson ID filled in. Check the classroom and learner choices, set the optional due time if needed, and choose Assign lesson. Wait for the confirmation.
Check the new assignment in the assignment list. Ask the learner to refresh their dashboard to see it.
Enlarge screenshot:The optional learner selection determines whether the assignment is individual or class-wide.
If you get stuck
The lesson cannot be assigned
Check the lesson ID, classroom status, learner selection and any parts compatibility message. Correct the named issue before retrying.

Check learning progress during class
1Read progress and submission status together
Open Progress to find the lesson and learner progress. Use the learner’s name, classroom and lesson to confirm the context.
A learner can finish a mission’s progress and still need to send their written reflection. Check Submissions for the actual submitted response.
For a managed workshop with Mission Control access, use the shared facilitator guide for live attendance, project stages and help requests.
Enlarge screenshot:Progress and the submitted answer are separate records.
In Submissions, read the learner’s reflection and confirm the classroom and lesson.
Choose Request revision in Review outcome. In Feedback for the learner, explain the change or evidence you want. Choose Save review and wait for the review confirmation.
The learner reads the feedback, edits their answer and sends it again. Revisit the submission after resubmission.
Enlarge screenshot:Ask for a clear, achievable change the learner can act on.
If you get stuck
Request revision is disabled
Read Revision unavailable. An archived classroom, closed assignment or elapsed deadline can prevent a new revision. Resolve the availability issue before asking the learner to edit.
10
Save the final review
1Mark the answer reviewed
After the learner resubmits, read their new response and your previous feedback.
Choose Mark reviewed in Review outcome, enter final feedback, then choose Save review.
Wait for the saved review result. The learner’s reviewed answer becomes read-only.
Enlarge screenshot:Mark reviewed finishes this review cycle; it does not archive the classroom.
11
Prepare the next lesson or session
1Return to the same class and plan the next task
Use the existing classroom to assign the next lesson. Review unfinished assignments, outstanding revision requests and due times before adding more work.
Use Profile to keep your display name current. The dashboard remains the starting point for classroom and learner context.
If your account also has workshop staff access, use Mission playlists, class setup notes and the shared workshop lifecycle for a sequence of facilitated sessions.
Enlarge screenshot:A repeat class can keep its classroom and roster while receiving new assignments.
Use reports and workshop tools in their proper context
1Follow the context required by each tool
Teacher analytics requires its supported report context and filters. If it shows an incomplete-filter message, use the return link; that screen is not a report of zero learning activity.
Teacher automation may ask for workshop staff sign-in before it can use live workshop evidence. Follow the stated access route if you have that role.
For a workshop you lead, use the Facilitator guide to open, pause, review, share and close. Signing into a school classroom does not silently grant workshop staff access.
Enlarge screenshot:The product keeps classroom and workshop access explicit.
Archive a classroom only when learners should lose access to its assignments. Open its management disclosure, read and check the confirmation, then choose Archive classroom. The classroom becomes Archived · read-only.
To end one learner’s sign-in access, use the learner’s roster row. Read and check the confirmation, then choose Deactivate learner.
The dashboard does not provide an undo control for these actions. Use ordinary assignment and review workflows while a class is still active.
Enlarge screenshot:Archiving removes learner access to that classroom’s assignments.
